DUAL MEET
From 1937 through 1955, the would-be Rose Bowl leagues engaged in a dual of Conference all star teams, held in vicinity to the site of the NCAA Championships, and contested in proximity to the dates of those Championships. Needless to say this affair was one of the best meetings conducted in the World. There were no meets during the war years (1943-46) or Olympic years (1952, 56)
For whatever reason this meet was not resumed in 1957 but seems to have been replaced (or bumped) by the AAU meet.
