CENTRAL VALLEY CONFERENCE
MEET RESULTS
The beginnings for the Central Valley JC's starts with the California Coast Conference in 1923. Although the first conference finals would only have 4 teams competing, the conference was made up of 12 schools with a mix of 2-year and 4-year institutions. This conference would be replaced by the Central California Junior College Association (CCJCA) in 1929 and was comprised of just JCs from the southern San Joaquin Valley. In 1963 the conference would be renamed the Valley Conference and would include the schools from north of Fresno to Sacramento. In 1981, the Valley Conference would be renamed back to the Central Valley Conference.

* - These two years CVC schools were hosted into another conference. The conference rules require a 4-team minimum to make up a conference. The CVC had Modesto in it for many years during which either Merced, Reedley, Kings River, West Hills or Porterville would help to complete this 4-team minimum. Once Modesto went to the Big 8, it became harder and harder to find 2 others to meet the conference regs. Hence the CVC schools being hosted into other conference final meets.
