OHIO VALLEY CONFERENCE
The formation of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) was first discussed in 1941 but was put on hold due to World War II. The plan was resurrected after the war and in 1948 the Ohio Valley Conference was established with Louisville, Morehead State, and Evansville forming the new conference. Information on the Ohio Valley site indicates the first outdoor Conference meet was in 1949 but the first Indoor meet wasn't until 1976.
